<description>Since the Touchscreen Keypad is a secondary keypad for the Simon XT, those three panic buttons still exist on the main panel and can still be used, however you’ll also notice a red button labeled “Emergency” located in the upper left corner of the Touchscreen Keypad. Touching and holding this button for 5 seconds will activate a generic panic function sending a signal to the monitoring station that help is needed.

If the home is equipped with monitored Smoke Detectors, the panic function is is often unneeded, as the smoke detectors will send a “fire” signal automatically.

The same holds true for medical emergencies with systems equipped with a medical pendant. Depressing the “Medical Alert” button on the pendant automatically send a “medical emergency” signal to the station.

If you have questions about any of these functions or would like to add one of more of these items to your security system setup, call our customer service line at (877) PINN-SAFE to upgrade today!</description>
