The Garage or "tilt" sensor operates using a mecuriy switch. This senstive little device is mounted on the back of a garage door and when tilted, disrupts the mecuriy, sending a signal to the panel.
If the system is armed, the alarm will go off. If the system is disarmed, the chime will notify those inside that the door has been opened.
