THE BBB's RATING SYSTEM
As you may know, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has created a ratings system to evaluate various businesses. While this ratings system can be an effective indicator of how consumers feel about a business, there are also times that it fails to accurately assess some companies. In our case, the BBB's rating system simply does not reflect our actual customer satisfaction performance.
DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT...
Our customers and accolades don't lie. In our most recent survey, 91 percent of our customers said they would refer Pinnacle Security to friend or family member, and our overall customer satisfaction is rated 4 out of 5 stars. GE Security has awarded us with the GE liberty award for the past 3 consecutive years for our "Outstanding Customer Service and Support" and hundreds of Facebook fans post their testimonials and pride in our product and service every day.
Less than 1% of the over 300,000 customers we have secured in the past 4 years have ever even lodged a compliant to the BBB, and 98.7% of those complaints were resolved to the customer's and/or the BBB's satisfaction. When a compliant comes up, we address it immediately. To our knowledge, there are no unresolved complaints listed on our BBB profile.
ISSUE RESOLUTION IS PRETTY IMPORTANT
Resolving the issues makes no difference to our rating though, because the BBB does not factor resolution status into its rating system, only issued complaints. The BBB also unfairly penalizes companies like Pinnacle Security for "governmental actions." Without any due process or admission of fault, any media report is added to our profile and we are penalized as part of their arbitrary point system.
CONFLICTING MESSAGES
We have worked countless hours to work with both the Utah BBB office and the national BBB Council to have our rating reflect the way we actually do business, but we continue to receive conflicting messages from each and lack of accountability from both. Pinnacle Security values the mission and purpose of the BBB, but we are also aware that they have come under significant media scrutiny for their business practices (as evidenced by a recent 20/20 investigation) and have their own issues that have many consumers questioning the legitimacy of their ratings system.
