The motion sensors Pinnacle Security installs are "passive infrared devices" that measure the change in temperature in an area of the room. The sensor can quickly detect body heat emitted from a human body as it passes through its field of vision, and will trigger an alarm to which local law enforcement will respond immediately.

Pet owners especially like these motions sensors because of their ability to discriminate the heat radiation from an animal and a human body. Pets (under 40lbs) can walk freely throughout the home without triggering the system and causing a false alarm. These sensors are both pet friendly and perhaps the most reliable method to detect intruders.
