Pinnacle Security to Partner With Going Beyond Borders to Help Build Hospital in Kenya

Company’s Philanthropic Initiative, “Securing Hope,” to Raise Funds, Send Team to Aid in Hospital Construction

OREM, UT-(Marketwire - May 30, 2011) - Pinnacle Security, a leader in the North American residential security market, today announced that through its philanthropic initiative, “Securing Hope,” it will collaborate with Going Beyond Borders, an international nonprofit organization to raise funds to help build a hospital in western Kenya. Additionally, company volunteer teams will travel to Kenya in November to work on the construction of the building.

Pinnacle Security will help raise funds through a variety of means including sponsored events, donations from employees, company representatives and the public, in addition to proceeds from its annual 5K run held every fall.

The new Elukhambi Hospital will replace a facility that closed recently, requiring people in the area to travel several hours to reach the nearest hospital, making minor accidents or injuries life-threatening events. The new building will house a full-service hospital that includes a radiology clinic as well as an eye center and dental center.

“Going Beyond Borders works to provide ongoing relief support to Africa in a variety of forms including education tools, livestock care, food and sporting equipment,” said Kate Brotherson, co-founder, Going Beyond Borders. “This new hospital will save lives that are at risk for a lack of access to simple medical care.
